During their stay, we wanted to show them as much of England as we could, so we explored different cities and places together. Starting with a trip to London…
Trip to London
We arrived in London on Friday evening with Elisa, who had come to my house from Italy. After school, we took the train together to meet the other two girls at Alison’s house.
On the train, we had the loveliest conversations about everything—from our future plans to the differences between Italy and England. What stood out most was how natural everything felt. Even though we had only met a few hours earlier, nothing was awkward—we just clicked straight away.
That evening, Alison had organised Scottish dancing for all of us, which we really enjoyed. It honestly felt like we had known each other for much longer. The atmosphere was completely different from what you might usually experience at school. People in Servas felt more open-minded, more willing to connect, and more excited to try new things. So if you’re someone who might feel nervous about experiences like this—don’t be. It’s nothing like the awkwardness you might expect.
