Don't you think it's wonderful to have a camp with 25 people from 12 different nations around the world in Heidelberg? Despite our different cultural backgrounds, we found profound similarities. Though our names were different, we seemed almost the same, like children from the same family and culture but with different upbringings.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have participated in this camp. It was more than beautiful. Before attending, it taught me hospitality and respect; during the camp, I experienced friendship, togetherness, and love; and afterward, it left me with hope and peace.
This hope was reflected in my face so strongly that I woke up smiling for an entire week afterward.
